You are required by law to provide worker’s compensation for nannies and au pairs in the home. Each state and territory maintains their own departments and requirements.
This also may include staff working as sole traders requiring workers compensation.
Making sure you have met your workers compensation compliance is one of the more annoying and time consuming part of employing a nanny. Domestic Payroll can help.
Each state has a different system, refer to the WorkCover website below for your state or territory.

Help with workers compensation insurance
The workers compensation insurance is for your nanny only, being injured whilst working for you and the only compulsive insurance required.
You may want to discuss other insurance options with your insurer such as motor vehicle or other damages insurance. If your employee is going to drive your car, its worth checking with your insurance if your cover needs to be changed if they now consider this a work vehicle.
We are here to help, assisting with the required payments and keeping track of all your nanny’s time off. Get in touch with us now and find out how paying the nanny can become an easy process including managing the workers compensation insurance for your nanny.
